My Story. Today I will be talking a little about myself. Just to share my experiences with you and to let others out there know that they are not alone. I’m sharing my story with you not because I want to put it all out there or to be pitied. But because I hope that it will inspire and encourage someone out there to keep going.
I was born prematurely, after 6 months I started turning black and blue in my hand middle and foot bottom. The doctors realized something was wrong. They made a check they realized that my right kidney was blocked with cystic mass and my left kidney was nowhere to be found. Weird huh!!.
At 11 months I had surgically removed the cystic mass from my right kidney because the left one was still nowhere to be found. The doctors told my parents it was a 50% chance that I would come out alive. Here I am telling my story today. Prayer prayer prayer is what kept us going.
Growing up with one kidney your immune system is not always 100%. Any time there was cold and flu going around I would easily catch it if I am not cautious.
As I got older and went into higher grades I realized that whenever exams come around I start getting sick. My doctors said I should just take my time and not stress too much.
In the 11th grade I got really ill because you know 11th grade is a crucial year you have to make sure you pass all your exams to get into a good college. In my country we do CXC so going along doing my thing. Things started getting really stressing and I got sick. I was out of school for 1 month and more which was bad because it was the most important part of the semester. Some teachers were telling my mom let her repeat, but I said I’m not doing that no way!.
I eventually was OK enough to go back to school. I had a lot of catching up to do and papers to finish but I took my time and I did. Many were in doubt thinking I wouldn’t pass all my subjects. When results came out I passed them all thanks to God for helping me while I went along.
In everything you do guys make sure God is in it because without him we are nothing.
I did one year of sixth form/12th grade. Then the august I started university.
4 months into university I started getting sick again the night before one of my sectional exams I ended up in the hospital. Over the weekend things got worst so the Monday my mom and I decided we need to get a doctors opinion. I went to my specialist but he wasn’t there so we went to another one on the plaza he wrote on the envelop EMERGENCY!!!. He said to us that I have pyelonephritis which is a kidney infection and he said, Hospital now. We immediately went through the emergency gate and in a couple hours I was admitted.
The doctor finally came on the ward to talk to us. He came with crushing and hurtful news.
He started by saying that the stresses of school is what’s making me sick so I need to stop school and find something more practical to do. Basically something that’s less stressful for me. Which course isn’t stressful at times?. If I wish to continue going to university by the time I finish I will be a vegetable and I won’t be able to use my degree so what is it gonna be.
He crushed my heart and my dreams in instant. I stayed in the hospital for four days and then they discharged me.
A lot of us get the opportunity to go to school and we waste it don’t waste your time following others. Work on your future and be the best you can be. Appreciate what you have in life because there are others out there who are less fortunate than you are.
I went home to recover and started planning on what to do each thing I tried it never worked out.
With God by my side I know I will make it through and I will be successful and I will obtain my Degree. Doctors can’t determine my future in my opinion, only God knows best.
I fully recovered by April 2014 and I have been keeping my faith. Working wasn’t in my plan but that’s what I was doing until I resigned from my job December 2015. Certain bosses you can put up with their attitude and disrespect for soo long!.
I am currently seeking and applying for jobs while blogging. A lot of people may know me from my old blog until I started this one, so I am keeping the faith my dreams will come through and God will help me to work things out because he is an awesome God.
I shared this with you today to show you that no matter how many times life hits you down never give up keep pushing to achieve what you want and put god first.
No matter how many times you fail get back up and try again. You might not get the success when you want it but God is an on time God.
Sometimes we plan things in our lives and it doesn’t work out the way we want it to. Don’t think you’re a failure, just think that there is something bigger in store for you out there.
I encourage you all to be more kind and loving to people and don’t judge them because you never know what they are going through. Do you have a story you would like to share to encourage and inspire others. Share it because you just might inspire someone with your story.
Have a lovely day!.
